Kiwanis and the Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe

Kiwanis is a worldwide service organization for individuals desiring personal involvement in the leadership and improvement of their communities.

Our motto is "Serving the Children of the World."

Our mission is to "Change the world one child and one community at a time."

More than 600,000 Kiwanis members in 96 countries make their mark by responding to the needs of their communities and pooling their resources to address worldwide issues.

The Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe supports many projects for children in northern Alachua County, Florida.  The current major project is the renovation of the High Springs Day Care Center.  This is a facility that has had very little maintenance in its 30-year history.  The recession made it even more difficult to keep up and, at about the time the Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe began to help, the Center was on the verge of being closed down because of repeated inspection failures.

Thanks to the Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe new life has been brought to the Center, but a number of expensive renovations still remain to be done, such as a new kitchen, new floors, a new ceiling and exterior painting.  The money is not in the budget and without the help of the Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe, the work simply won't get done.

As a thriving organization of men, women, and youth, we are dedicated to serving the children of the world and improving the quality of life worldwide. Being committed to this mission calls each of us to live by the following objectives of Kiwanis:
