The Raffle did not raise as much as expected and the rules say that, "In the event that at least $60,000 is not raised, the original raffle will revert to a 50/50 drawing for a cash prize with one winner. In such an event, the winner will receive 50% of the proceeds after all expenses, with a maximum of $25,000 cash prize, or such lesser amount of the net proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets, with the remaining proceeds going to The Children's Corporation of North Florida."

Mr. Casey, in accordance with the rules, will receive a check of approximately $4,000 which will be presented to him upon verification of ticket ownership under the rules and when the final accounting has been approved.

We truly regret that the Raffle was not a huge success, but it was obvious that the state of the economy had a significant impact on participation.

In any case, we heartily congratulate Mr. Casey as our winner, and we also sincerely thank all of the other donors.  The money raised will help underprivileged children in our area through the projects of the Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe.
